Why it works

Three things the other guys don't give you.

A map

You know every step before it happens. In a month full of surprises, the car isn't one of them.

Real people

Fast online quote, then two named people own your shipment. You talk to the driver for pickup and delivery. That's it.

Skin in the game

We hold the money, we own the backup policy, our name is on the bond.

The two things people ask most

Your money and your phone.

Where your money goes

You book with no deposit. At pickup, after the inspection, we charge your credit card for the full transport. That money sits with us, not the driver. After delivery, once you've inspected the car and signed, we pay the carrier.

If something goes wrong, your money is still with us and the carrier knows it. That's leverage most customers never have, because most brokers send you to the driver with cash.

Why we never let you pay the driver cash →

Who you talk to

Your quote comes fast, online. Then a real person calls. Two Mr. Car Shipper associates handle your shipment from quote to delivery, and you get their first names and direct line on day one.

The driver calls you to set the pickup time and the delivery time. Every other question, where is it, when will it arrive, what if the closing moves, comes to us. We answer.

Why every car shipping website looks the same

You fill out one form. A dozen brokers get it. The lowest number wins. Then the number changes.

That's not a bad apple. That's the business model. Every broker hires trucks from the same load board. The only things a broker actually controls are how honest the quote is, who they assign your car to, and what happens to your money.

The last 20 years of car shipping

  1. An instant calculator gives you a low number. It's built to win the click, not to be right.
  2. You put down a deposit. The broker posts your car on the board at a price no truck will take.
  3. Two days before pickup: "The carrier needs $400 more." You have a flight. You pay.
  4. A driver you've never heard of shows up. You hand him cash at delivery. Now he has the car and the money. If there's a dent, good luck.
  5. "GPS tracking" is an app on the driver's phone. He turns it off. You call the broker. The broker calls the driver. Nobody answers.

How Mr. Car Shipper works

  1. Your price is built from what carriers are being paid on your route right now. In writing. It doesn't move.
  2. No deposit. Your card is charged on pickup day, and we hold every dollar until your car is delivered and inspected.
  3. Your car goes on a carrier we background check: FMCSA record, insurance verified with the insurer (not a PDF the driver emailed), crash history, fleet checks.
  4. Want to watch the car? Add LiveTrack: a GPS tracker in your glovebox. The driver can't turn it off.
  5. Car arrives. You inspect it. Then, and only then, the carrier gets paid. If there's damage, our claims manager walks you through it.

Questions about the process

How do I get a quote?

Online, in a few minutes. Tell us the pickup and delivery ZIPs, the car, and the first day it can go. Your price is built from what carriers are actually paid on your route this week. Then a real person on our team calls you to confirm the details and answer questions. Or call (877) 421-1284.

Do I have to pay a deposit to book?

No. You book, and nothing is charged. Your card is charged for the full transport on pickup day, and we hold that money until your car is delivered.

Will I deal with the driver directly?

Twice: at pickup and at delivery. Everything in between, dispatch, updates, schedule changes, the hard conversations, goes through your two Mr. Car Shipper associates. You never have to chase a driver.

How do I know who is hauling my car?

Before pickup we tell you the carrier's name and USDOT number. We've already checked their FMCSA record, verified their insurance directly with the insurer, and looked at their crash history. How we vet carriers.

What do I need to do before pickup?

Clean the car so the inspection is accurate, take your own photos, leave about a quarter tank of gas, remove toll tags and personal items, and make sure someone with the keys is there for pickup. If you added LiveTrack, put the tracker in the glovebox.

What happens at delivery?

You walk around the car with the driver and compare it to the pickup report. If everything looks right, you sign. Only then does the carrier's money move. If something's wrong, note it on the report and call us that day. We're still holding his pay.
