You see the carrier's record before he sees your car
Every broker hires trucks from the same load board. The difference is who we let haul your car, and how closely we keep watching them after they're approved.

What we check
| Check | What it means | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| FMCSA authority | The carrier is legally allowed to haul cars across state lines | Unauthorized carriers are where the horror stories start |
| Insurance, verified with the insurer | We confirm coverage with the insurance company, double-blind, not a PDF the driver emailed | Certificates get faked and policies lapse |
| Crash and safety history | Inspection results and crash records | Past behavior predicts the next trip |
| Fleet checks | Does the equipment match what they claim to run? | Fleet discrepancies are a fraud signal |
| Daily monitoring | We keep watching authority, insurance and safety after approval | A clean carrier last month isn't a guarantee this month |
Why "vetted once" isn't vetted
A carrier that passed a check once isn't guaranteed clean today. Insurance gets cancelled. Authority gets revoked. A truck gets sold to someone else.
So we don't just check at sign-up. We use the Highway carrier-vetting platform to monitor our carriers continuously: FMCSA changes, insurance status, crash data and more.
What you get
Before pickup, you get the carrier's identity: company name and USDOT number. Look them up yourself if you want. We'd encourage it.

Questions about who hauls your car
How do you choose the carrier for my car?
We assign carriers we check: FMCSA authority and safety record, insurance verified directly with the insurance company, crash history, and fleet checks. And we keep monitoring them every day after they're approved.
Will I know who the carrier is before pickup?
Yes. Before pickup we tell you the carrier's name and USDOT number. You see who it is before he sees your car.
Why isn't a one-time check enough?
Because carriers change. Insurance lapses. Authority gets revoked. Trucks get sold. A carrier that looked clean the day it signed up can be a different company six months later. That's why we keep watching after the first load.
Can I check a carrier myself?
Yes. Look up their USDOT number on the FMCSA SAFER website for authority and safety data, and call the insurance company listed, not the number on the certificate the driver sends. Our free video shows how.
